Reservations / Deposit
Renters must be 21 years of age or older. Reservations for accommodations and packages must be confirmed with a paid deposit. After contacting us or filling in an online booking request, you will receive confirmation of availability, pricing, and instructions for paying the deposit. Deposits can be paid with credit card or e-transfer. Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of deposit, and a booking confirmation will be sent by email. Required deposit is $300 for weekly stays during July and August, or $200 for stays September through June, special packages, or a 1 bedroom cottage.
We accept reservations for stays of up to 2 calendar years in advance. Please note: in most cases, guests staying in July and August will have first rights to reserve the same cottage for the following year. As such, some reservations may not be confirmed until Sept. of the preceding year.
Payment in full will be required two weeks before your stay. A $300 refundable security deposit will be added to your final bill.
Cancellation / Refund
For reservations for stays during July and August, a 50% refund can be provided if the cancellation is received by January 1st of the calendar year of your stay. For reservations in September through June, a 50% refund can be provided if 30 days notice of cancellation is received. Otherwise, all deposits are non-refundable for any cancellations. Any no shows will be charged full price of your stay without notice, and may not be permitted to book the following year.
Deposits are transferable if you are able to find someone else to take your place. If you need to change or cancel your reservation, please contact us and we will make every effort for fair compensation. We may have a waiting list for cancellations.
In the unlikely event that Cedar Grove Camp is unable to provide the reserved accommodation due to unforeseen circumstances, a refund will provided in full and we will make every effort to find alternative accommodations.
Check In / Out
Check in is at 3:00 P.M. (Sometimes we can allow you to check in earlier, depending on if there are guests checking out the day you arrive. Please call ahead to find out). Please call ahead if checking in past 8pm.
Check Out is 10:00 A.M. Please help us keep our costs low, by leaving your cottage clean and tidy. Additional charges will apply for late checkout or excessive cleaning required.
Cell Phones / WiFi
Cell phones do work in our area, but signal can sometimes be weak. We do have free wireless internet available. It is not available at the cottages, but available on the property, closer to the office area.
What to Bring
You are required to bring your own linens – sheets, pillows, blankets and towels. If necessary, these may be rented from Cedar Grove Camp, but please let us know in advance if required.
Cottages and facilities are equipped with everything else you may require.
You may consider bringing additional lawn chairs.
Cottage Supplies
Kitchen
Each cottage is supplied with appliances (fridge, stove/oven & microwave, toaster and coffee maker) and an outdoor BBQ. We have lots of dishes, utensils, and cookware. If there is something you need that is not in your cottage, please let us know as we probably have it. We provide dishsoap, tea towels & cleaning supplies.
You really don’t need to bring anything for the kitchen except your food.
Bedding & Linens
The beds come with mattress pads/protective covers. You need to bring your own linens; sheets, pillows and covers (blankets or sleeping bags). Please place these directly over our protective covers. Please refer to the cottage listing to find out what size of beds are in your cottage. Linens are available to rent if needed.
All cottages have hot water and showers. Please bring your own towels.
Drinking Water / Septic System
Cedar Grove Camp is supplied by well water that is tested and treated safe for drinking. Please do not leave water running and conserve when possible to ensure adequate supply for the entire camp.
We do have a septic system. Please ensure only toilet paper is flushed. All feminine products (including flushables) must be placed in waste basket provided.
Other
We have extra picnic tables and lawn chairs, but you might want to bring a chair of your own if you can fit it in your vehicle.
Deep fryers are available for use. Please ask a staff member for one if you are doing a lot of frying.
Cottages have a small bluetooth speaker for your enjoyment.
Smoking
Smoking is permitted on the property, but please place your butts in the ashtrays & cans provided. Smoking is not permitted inside the cottages.
Stores/Groceries
Gerry’s General Store is a short walk away. Here they sell just about everything including groceries, gas, liquor and beer. Mill Bay Market is a local market, and butcher with local fresh food. The nearest grocery store is in Powassan about a 30 minute drive from Cedar Grove Camp.
Bait (minnows, worms, leeches) can be purchased nearby in the Village of Restoule.
Firewood
Firewood can be purchased here for a fair price. Please do not bring your own wood, as it can carry diseases that are harmful to our surroundings and trees.
Pets
We love pets (especially well behaved dogs) but please keep your dog on leash until we are sure there are no other animals (or people) that might have issues with your pet. Usually dogs are able to run free and play together. If any guest has a concern with your pet, you will be required to keep it on a leash or in your cottage. Please pick up after your pet, and keep it under control at all times. Please ensure to keep your pet off of the furniture, or bring your own protective covers if necessary. Maximum of 2 pets per cottage. Pet fee applies for each pet.
Boats & Boat Rentals; Canoes, Kayak, Paddleboat
If you plan on boating, please remember to bring your boating license. We have boats and motors for rent. You will be required to have your safe boating license. Boat rentals include the first tank of gas. If additional gas is required, a staff member will fill your rental boat and you will be charged cost for the refill.
For our guests, we have a paddleboat, kayaks, canoes, floating mat and swim dock for your use. We have life jackets for adults and children in all sizes.
ATV’s
If you are bringing an ATV, please ensure you have your driver’s license, ownership, and insurance for your ATV

Quiet Time
Quiet time will be enforced at 11:00 P.M. Please be respectful of the other patrons staying at Cedar Grove Camp.
Payment
We accept cash, debit, credit cards and e-transfers. All prices subject to applicable taxes. Payment is due on or before arrival. Reservations in July and August will require full payment 2 weeks prior to your stay.
