Information and Updates in Response to COVID-19

Bookings and Cancellations

  • Cedar Grove Camp cottages will be open and available for guests according to Provincial guidelines.  If we are not able to provide accommodations due to a lockdown in our area, guests will be notified and deposits will be applied to a stay for another date, or refunded if necessary. Please note that deposits will not be refunded due to other COVID related circumstances (e.g. if your area is in lockdown, or if you were exposed to someone with COVID-19).
  • We have a waiting list for some weeks in the summer.  If you need to cancel, please contact us and we may be able to refund your deposit if we are able to rebook with someone on the waiting list.

Check In Procedure

  • Check in is permitted after 3pm on day of arrival.  No early check in’s permitted between July 19 – Sept. 11 to allow us to fully clean facilities between guests.
  • Guests will be requested to complete our Rental Agreement and COVID self assessment prior to entering cottage.
  • Guests will receive an email 1-2 weeks prior to their arrival requesting the completion of the Rental Agreement, and with an invoice for payment. A $300 security deposit will be added to this invoice and refunded at the end of your stay, provided the cottage is left tidy and check out occurred on time.

Cleaning of Facilities

  • Outdoor surface areas will be cleaned between guests, and regularly throughout the week by Cedar Grove Camp staff.
  • Cedar Grove Camp staff will be required to wear masks while cleaning cottages.
  • Cottages will be fully disinfected with COVID-19 approved cleaners between guests including surface areas, light fixtures, door knobs, etc.
  • Dishes will not be cleaned between guests.  Guests may choose to clean dishes prior to use.
  • Fitted top sheets on beds will be changed between guests. No other linens or pillows will be provided.
  • Spray cleaner, hand soap and sanitizer will be provided at each cottage.

General Guidelines

  • Any emergency orders in effect must be adhered to at the time of your stay.
  • Guests are encouraged to keep within their own family units and leave room for others when at the dock and swimming area  within the camp.
  • Guests will be required to keep pets within their own area
  • Any guest not following social distancing guidelines may be asked to leave.
  • Masks are not required outside, but will be required for any indoor spaces.

Illness / Travel History / Covid-19 Exposure

  • Guests will be requested to do a COVID-19 self assessment.  Any guest experiencing symptoms within 2 weeks of their stay should stay home.
  • Any guest who has travelled internationally within 14 days of their stay should stay home.


  • Cedar Grove Camp office will be open. Masks required and one person at a time inside.
  • Any payments can be made online, or with a mobile reader at your cottage or at the office.
  • Canoes, kayaks, water raft will be available.  Guests will be expected to clean watercraft and paddles after each use.
  • Boat and Motor rentals (with lifejackets) will be available.  Cedar Grove Camp staff will clean watercraft between use.
  • A limited number of additional lifejackets will be available.  Please bring your own if possible.
  • “The Hanger” games room will be closed for the 2021 season.
  • Small water toys and floats will not be available.
  • Volleyball and net will be available.  Sand toys will not be available for 2021.
  • Fish cleaning hut is available, but must be cleaned after use.
  • Firewood will be available for purchase at Cedar Grove Camp.
