Nestled along the peaceful shores of Commanda Lake in Restoule, a small town in Northern Ontario, Cedar Grove Camp has been welcoming guests for generations. Originally established in the 1950s, our camp has long been a place where families, anglers, outdoor enthusiasts, and nature lovers come to slow down, reconnect, and make lasting memories.
Our family has proudly owned and operated Cedar Grove Camp since 2004. When we first arrived, we saw not just a collection of cottages, but the opportunity to continue a tradition while creating something special for future generations.
Over the years, we’ve invested countless hours into renovating and improving the property. Some of the original cottages have been retired, new ones have been added, and every season brings another project to make the camp even better for our guests. While we’ve modernized many aspects of the resort, we’ve worked hard to preserve the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that keeps so many guests returning year after year.
Cedar Grove Camp is a place where mornings begin with coffee by the lake, afternoons are spent fishing, boating, swimming, hiking, or exploring nearby ATV trails, and evenings end around a campfire under a sky full of stars. Whether you’re planning a family vacation, a fishing trip, a romantic getaway, or simply looking for a peaceful escape from the city, we hope you’ll feel at home here.
We’re also proud to be pet friendly because we know that vacations are better when the whole family comes along. In fact, there has almost always been a friendly Golden Retriever or two wandering the property to greet guests with a wagging tail and a smile. Many returning visitors have fond memories of meeting our four-legged family members over the years.
What means the most to us is seeing familiar faces return season after season. Many of our guests have been visiting for years, and some families are now bringing a second—and even third—generation to experience the same Northern Ontario traditions they grew up with.
