Wondering what’s been happening at Cedar Grove Camp lately?
After a post Christmas lockdown, we’re happy to say that we’re currently open for business. Edward’s Edge cottage is the only cottage available up until the May long weekend, but the thaw is starting and we’re on track to have the other cottages open on time. Of course we’re paying close attention to the guidelines as set out by the Ontario government, but we are hopeful to have a full season for the remainder of 2021. Our summer weeks are all booked, but still lots of availability left for the spring.
Patterson’s Pad cottage has undergone some work and will be ready for mid summer. If the work gets done quickly we could have some availability for the start of July. Message us if you would like to be put on a waiting list for the first two weeks of July.
We have a few big projects in store that will be completed before summer. These changes will allow our guests to better social distance while staying here. More to come on this, but if you’ve already booked for this summer you should have a pleasant surprise when you arrive!
If you’ve rented a boat this season, you may need your Safe Boaters License. In the past, we’ve been able to provide a proof of competency (temporary license) but the Government is considering removing this which will mean you will need to have a boat license for our rental boats. You can obtain your license online here. https://www.boat-ed.com/canada/ontario/
Our new Cedar Grove Camp merchandise has arrived. We have some new caps, light weight hoodies and some great lumber jack flannel shirts. This year, our office should be open for you to see the goods.
Newman is anxiously awaiting the spring and summer guests. Unfortunately, his manners have not improved so you’ll still have to keep a close eye on your food.
Looking forward to seeing everyone here soon for some much needed vacation time!
